This command is powerful , directly show you the optical module send  TX  and receive RX  optical power value , also with a health range high / low threshold  .That's the core of diagnosis

1. Current RX Power < Default RX Power Low Threshold

Symptoms : The port is not UP , or UP but lost packets , the speed is slower than the speed of a snail .

 

Cause & Risk:

Is the distance beyond the scope? Your optical module is supposed to transmit 300 meters, but you pulled 500 meters of fiber? The gods can't save us!

 

Is the optical module hanging? The identity may have been killed.

 

Is the fiber / hop line broken? The bend is too large, the interface is dirty, and the fiber is broken, all of which can cause the signal to be severely decayed.

 

2. Current RX Power > Default RX Power High Threshold

Reason : It can be determined that there is a fault inside the optical module .
