Overall Exam Process

Beijing Test Center Experience

The Beijing test center provided a comfortable testing environment. Upon arriving at the Q21 building in the campus compound, I checked in at the reception desk. After completing registration, I proceeded to the second floor where the waiting area was immediately visible upon exiting the elevator. We waited there until 8:30 AM when the proctor escorted us to the examination hall.

Pro tip: Arriving early allows you to grab breakfast at Huawei's cafeteria to maintain optimal energy levels for the exam.

The examination process began with standard security screening and ID verification. Following these procedures, the proctor directed us to locate our assigned seats using the seating chart displayed on the wall.

Each workstation contained two important documents:
1.Candidate information sheet - Carefully verify all personal and examination details to ensure accuracy.

2.Recording consent form - This document explained that Huawei would record the examination session solely for proctoring purposes, with guarantees against external distribution or commercial use. The proctor reinforced this by playing a recorded announcement.

A critical step involved reviewing the "Examination Environment FAQ" displayed on the testing terminal. I strongly recommend thoroughly studying this section to familiarize yourself with potential technical scenarios. Since the testing environment utilizes actual Huawei equipment, minor technical issues may occasionally occur - a characteristic aspect of their systems. Being prepared for these possibilities prevents unnecessary disruptions during your exam.

The examination commenced at 9:00 AM sharp. At noon, the proctor paused the countdown timer for our lunch break, during which boxed meals were provided. This interval also allowed for restroom visits and brief relaxation. The break period extended until 1:00 PM, though candidates could choose to resume testing earlier if desired. Helpful suggestion: A 10-15 minute rest period is highly advisable to maintain peak performance.

The afternoon session continued until the timer expiration. Important protocol note: During the final 10 minutes, question prompts automatically disappear from view. This time is specifically allocated for answer review and final submission procedures.

1. Follow the Training Institution's Approach
Strictly adhere to the solution provided by your training institution. The methodology is proven and reliable, so there's no need to improvise. Trust your instructor’s guidance—it works flawlessly.

2. X Campus Configuration
·Issue Encountered: During the X Campus setup, the direct connection between X_Core1 and X_Export1 initially failed.

·Resolution: I immediately informed the proctor, who clarified that the link would work after completing the WAN configuration. Indeed, it resolved itself post-WAN setup.

·Key Reminders: - Double-check your rack number, X Campus SSID, and Y Campus SSID.
Wireless password changes are specified in a desktop notepad file.

3. WAN & Python Execution

·WAN (MPLS): No issues—follow the institution’s steps strictly.

·Python Scripts: Ran smoothly without errors.

·Critical Dependency:If configuring WAN before Y Campus, note that Y_Export1’s BGP/OSPF configurations are unavailable until Y Campus is fully set up. Validate WAN after completing Y Campus.

4. Y Campus Device Deployment Mistakes

·Error: Attempted Y Campus 2.2 PNP deployment before completing 2.1 Router deployment, causing Y_Export1 to fail initialization.

·Optimized Workflow:
1.Morning Priority: ·Start with Y Campus 2.1 (router deployment).
                                 ·Capture screenshots of each step.
                                 ·Let Export routers initialize autonomously.

2.Parallel Tasking: Switch to X Campus while routers initialize.

3.Post-Initialization: Resume 2.2 PNP deployment once routers are online.

·Why This Works: Maximizes time efficiency—avoids idle waiting during device initialization.

5. Timeline Recommendations
Morning Focus:·Complete Y Campus device deployment by noon.
·Early issue detection allows timely proctor assistance.

Afternoon: Focus on remaining configurations.

6. Final Notes
·Most critical tips are covered in prior guides. This reflects my personal experience.
·Stay calm, follow the plan, and leverage parallel workflows.
